What is a counted cross-stitch pattern?

A counted cross-stitch pattern is a grid that tells you which colour and symbol belongs in each square. One square equals one full cross stitch. Stitchplot turns your image into that readable grid, so you can count the chart and stitch it on fabric at your own pace.

From photo to a chart you can stitch

Start with an image, then choose a stitch count and fabric count that suit your project. In CT mode, Stitchplot converts the artwork into a DMC-matched colour palette, assigns unique symbols and shows the finished size before you start. You can adjust the chart until the balance of detail, colours and total stitches feels right.
